Adenco Construction was the electrical contractor on Castle Wind Farm a 89 MW, 16 tower wind farm located near De Aar, Northern Cape South Africa.

Adenco completed all the external electrical connections to the 16 wind turbine generators; the IPP Step Up Substations; Eskom Substations and 132 kV Overhead Transmission line.

The EBOP works comprised of the following:

  • 66 km of underground 33 kV Cable Network
  • 26 km of 132 kV Overhead Line
  • Construction of 132/33 kV IPP Substation
  • Construction of 132 kV Eskom Moyeng Substation
  • Bay extension at existing Eskom 132 kV Hydra Substation
